On October 24, Liu Zhenya, Chairman of GEIDCO, held talks in Beijing with the visiting Yiftah Ron-Tal, Chairman of Israel Electric Corporation. The two sides exchanged views on topics such as Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) and clean and sustainable development. Both sides are willing to leverage their respective advantages and jointly promote the innovative development of GEI, and contribute to accelerating energy transition, ensuring power supply and promoting regional peace.
Israel Electric Corporation is is the largest supplier of electrical power in Israel. It builds, maintains, and operates power generation stations, sub-stations, as well as transmission and distribution networks. Its installed generating capacity represents about 75% of the total electricity production capacity in the country. It transmits and distributes substantially all the electricity used in Israel. It is headquartered in Haifa.
