On the afternoon of July 29, Liu Zhenya, Chairman of GEIDCO and Chairman of China Electricity Council (CEC), held talks with the visiting Mr. Erik Solheim, senior advisor of the World Resources Institute(WRI) and former Executive Director of UNEP. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on issues related to global energy transition and clean energy development, and expressed mutual willingness to strengthen exchange and cooperation, establish communication mechanism, pursue joint research, and co-host activities and events to promote the implementation of energy interconnection in the “Belt and Road”countries, and facilitate the sustainable development of human society.
