CHINT Solar Power, a subsidiary of CHINT New Energy, announced that it had won the 165MW DC Photovoltaic Power Station EPC Project of Egypt on January 17 2018, and held a press conference with its clients on the WFES Exhibition in Abu Dhabi. CHINT Solar Power will be in charge of the engineering, technology, design, purchases and installation of this project. In December 2014, Egypt NERA launched a national FIT, aiming at promoting the construction of Photovoltaic Power Station in Egypt. This 165MW project is composed of three power station groups and is located in a region 40km north of Aswan. In this project, electricity is purchased by EETC, and access points, power distribution networks and transformer stations are constructed by the country but apportioned among developers by agreements. It is located in a desert region which is appropriated by the government. Signing this big EPC cooperation project marks CHINT’s new business breakthrough in Road and Belt.
