On June 15, the founding conference of China Power International Cooperation Union (CPICU) was held in Beijing. Liu Zhenya, Chairman of China Electricity Council (CEC) and Chairman of Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), attended the conference and made a speech. Officers from National Development and Reform Commission (NRDC), National Energy Administration (NEA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commerce Department attended the conference. More than 150 people including 22 founders, 26 memberships and 10 cooperators also attended the meeting.
Liu Zhenya pointed that the establishment of CPICU will promote internationlization of electric power enterprise to a new level. He hoped the alliance to grasp the trend of global clean energy transformation and economic globalization, play an important role on innovation. Liu suggested CPICU to build mutually beneficial and win-win development platform, improve the service ability and level and break in key areas as soon as possible.
The CPICU is an open cooperation organization initiated by CEC, China Electric Power Construction Association (CEPCA), State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) and other electric power enterprises.
